The second chapter of the Iron Squid tournament kicked off last night with the first matches. In the only all-Korean group, the DHW champion and last season's runner up took an easy way to the playoffs.
Still on a killing spree from his triumph at DreamHack Winter '12, Liquid's HerO was beyond unstoppable. In the opening group of Iron Squid II (all groups are played in GSL format), the protoss coined a cumulative 4-0 against aLive and Symbol, not giving a damn if he was hellion dropped, early pooled or just forced into standard macro games.
Symbol, on the other hand, had to beat Golden twice to advance but apart from the first series, it didn't take him too long, neither did it require of him to do unseen ZvZ magic.
IRON SQUID GROUP A
HerO4-0
Symbol4-3
Golden3-5
aLive1-4
Symbol 2-1 Golden
HerO 2-0 aLive
HerO 2-0 Symbol
Golden 2-1 aLive
