16-2 in maps, reigning Winter champion HerO looks unstoppable. Coming out of a group which featured hometurf powerhouses Thorzain and Naniwa as well as formidable compatriot ForGG, HerO entered the playoffs to face BYOC winner Snute as well as the tournament surprise Monchi. A reaping 6-1 from both games sent the protoss to the grand final, where the master of TvP was already waiting.
TaeJa had a similarly dominating group stage run and it was not until Thorzain that he met his first big challenge. The Swede gave Liquid's ace a hearty fight by taking the lead twice but Taeja's persistence paid off: he would advance to the semi-finals, steam roll through Bucharest champion Nerchio and enter the final match.
This will be the first time when one DH champion goes against another and is the second team kill in a row after the Nerchio/Bly face-off in Bucharest.
