The Swedes and the Ukrainians win their games in a convincing fashion with both of them holding positions at the top of the current standings.
Semi-Final 1 Natus Vincere vs Virtus.pro
Toplane: Wisp, Gyro, Bane
Mid: Nyx vs. Puck
Bot: Lifestealer, Rubick vs. Clock
Jungle: Prophet, Chen
Na'Vi started out very aggressive and managed to bring down two towers before the four minute mark, gaining a very early lead in gold and experience. The Ukrainians felt comfortbale letting Gyrocopter farm up while they took towers and more map control.
All outer towers from VP fell within 18 minutes and the Russians were unable to get good ganks with Wisp's ultimate going and could only watch and try to trade as Na'Vi took the map control. From the 20 minute mark on, Na'Vi pressured VP into their own base. Nyx's burst damage and Lifestealer's DPS output were too much to handle for the fragile and underfarmed VP line-up, resulting in a 34 minutes gg.
Semi-Final 2 NoTidehunter vs Fnatic
Toplane: Lifestealer, Lina, Rubick vs. Gyrocopter, Disruptor, Bane
Mid: Dark Seer vs. Shadow Fiend
Bot: Lone Druid vs. Batrider
The game started out very bad for Fnatic as Trixi gave away a firstblood to Admiral Bulldog before creeps spawned. It didn't get any better as Trixi ended up laning against him and Lone Druid had quite the advantage.
NoTidehunter opted for an aggressive trilane on top and it lived up to its name. Several dives and kills were exchanged, but NoTidehunter got the better trade, as Gyrocopter was unable to farm properly, whereas Lifestealer got decent farm. A rotation by Dark Seer sealed the deal as they wiped almost all of Fnatic on top and it began to snowball from here. nTh moved as four and took tower after tower, secured the map with aggressive warding and gave no space to Fnatic.
Lone Druid having farmed up, even good initiations and teamfights from Fnatic were not able to turn the tides, resulting in a 20 minutes rax and a 23 minutes gg.
Points per cup
1st: 100 points (+600$)
2nd: 75 points (+200$)
3-4th: 50 points (+100$)
5-8th: 25 points
9-16th: 10 points
17-24th: 5 points
With this cup's results, No Tidehunter have secured themselves a spot for the group stages of the EMS One. They have been secure even before today's games, but they are looking strong at keeping the pole position.
Na'Vi can breach the 200 mark if they manage to win the finals, even though they did not participate in last week's cup.
Also, with Re-Defining Madness disbanding, TCM-Gaming or Adversa Sports would enter the top 12 position.
