Stay Green is already quaified for the Garena Star League 2013, now the chase for the final ticket to the mega event kicked off with no real surprise. All big names proceed into the second day in the hope to travel to Thailand in March.
Most people expect a Grand Final between compLexity Gaming and Trademark eSports in this second GSL Qualifier for the NA/EU region. So far both teams are well on pace to reach that match as both swept their opponents on the opening day with ease. Trademark eSports eliminated DoberOnDamp, while compLexity Gaming finished SdS in the tournament.
The direct rivals for those two teams from the HoN Tour standings didn't slip either though. QsQ defeated the newcomers of Vietnamese Dream, Tt eSports demolished Team Excellent and Lions eSports edged out Justice League in a three-game series - the only one of the day.
Along with these top favorites for the trip to Thailand are Pikachu and Pencils. Pikachu was able to defeat We Are Spies in a clear 2-0 sweep, sending the promising team of 007 packing early once more. Pencils on the other side didn't even played their first match as Absolute Legends once again ran into scheduling issues and had to forfeit their match and their chances of going to the big SEA event.
Last but not least did Afraid make it to the second day by defeating One Trick Pony. The match was the last outing of One Trick Pony in HoN Tour and in the HoN scene in general as they disbanded right after this loss. Afraid will move on with some encouragement and momentum heading into Day 2. Tough competition will await the squad around the Swedish carry player Jollem.

Lions eSports 2:1 Justice League
Tt eSports 2:0 Team Excellent
compLexity Gaming 2:0 SdS

Just eight teams remain in the race for the travel stipend to Bangkok, Thailand and that number will drop to half after tomorrow. Trademark eSports has to take on Pencils in the clash to reach the Semifinals, a duel that is not that common in HoN Tour. Despite the poor showing in the most recent history of Trademark, they will still go into the match as the clear favorite to win the match and the tournament.
The other main favorite compLexity Gaming will meet the Danish squad of Pikachu that has been on the upswing most recently. The match will be contested, but the current form of coL is indicating a strong chance for the North Americans to move into Day 3.
In the other two matches Lions will face off with Tt eSports in the most even matchup of the day. Lions eSports is currently ranked 5th in the HoN Tour standings, with Tt eSports sitting just one position below that. This match was originally scheduled to take place in the last Cycle, but Tt eSports couldn't field five players and had to forfeit.
QsQ will need a victory over the rising force of Afraid, who have been putting up good and respectable results as of late, but never really got a huge recognition for that. With the latest struggles of QsQ and the recent surge of Afraid this could be a highly contested match as well. Still QsQ is going into it as the favorite.
