YouTube channel and project DotaCinema has started it's first online tournament. From the 26th to 27th January, teams from both the SEA as well as the western regions have a chance at winning 5 Golden Greevils per team.
Community built, Community driven. With this motto in mind, DotaCinema is giving back to its community, creating their first online tournament. While this competition holds no prestige in terms of prizemoney - seeing as there is none - it is DotaCinema's first step outside of their YouTube realm and the competitive mindset is all a tournament needs.
Registration is open now, but each tournament (one for the SEA region and one for US/EU) only has 64 spots, so first-come, first-serve.
Each tournament will be held on one day, making it all a two day event, alsting from the 26th to the 27th January.
Not only is this an event for amateur teams to play it out amongst each other, it is also a chance for upcoming broadcasters to expose themselves. While the finals will of course be casted by DotaCinema's charismatic duo SUNSfan and Reaves, most games will be commentated by mostly unknown casters.
UPDATE: DotaCinema has postponed the SEA tournament. It will now take place on Februard 2nd and 3rd.
Dates:
SEA tournament: 2nd February, 10:30EDT / 16:30 PST / 01:30 CET
US/EU tournament: 27th January, 08:30 PST / 17:30 CET
Prizes: 5x Golden Greevils for the winning team (of each tournament)
