The premier StarCraft 2 team receives another blow to its roster as another one of 2012’s up-and-comers decided to find another team. Squirtle is now a free agent but no teams have been linked significantly to a signing yet.

StarTale, the team that just managed to grab our 2012 GosuAward for best team, loses another heavy hitter in early months of the new year. The GSL Season 2, IPL 4 and WCS South Korea runner-up of last year was a member of the team from the get-go, but decided that his salary wasn’t enough to warrant a stay in the team.

He is the second key Protoss player to leave after PartinG, who was reported to join KeSPA team SKT T1. Whether Squirtle will follow suit is unknown as of yet. StarTale's Coach Won says, "We are hoping for the best in Squirtle's future. Whichever team picks him up will have a great team. Both PartinG and Squirtle left the team as free agents without transfer fees.”
