SEA eSport will conduct its 3rd Dota 2 tournament on the 7th January. It will be an open tournament with no team limit.
SEA eSport is a small website which has been conducting open Dota 2 tournaments. While the tournament offers no prize in cash or gears [at least for now], it gives the players valuable experience regarding competition.
The goal of the tournament, according to the organizer, is a free chance for everyone to compete against teams from all over the continent.
What the teams will get is a promising production for the featured matches. The games will be broadcasted in at least Thai and English, and the main stream will feature various stuffs such as in-game replays and multi-screens.
The registration is still open until 6 January (2000 SGT) for teams willing to play on the SG server. The brackets will be released 7th January (1300 SGT), while the first round of matches will start at night (2000 SGT) of the same day. The teams will compete on 1 round of matches each day in a Single-Elimination Format until a single team remains.
Among the noticeable teams are MSIevoGT.TnC (seemingly the merge of Philippine The Asia representative TnC and MSIevoGT, based on the roster), and Neolution Esports International (on which the roster is composed of the former Duskbin players).
The defending champion Gx.GamingBrutaL (TH) is also present, as well as other teams we have seen advance into the further stages of GosuCup Asia like Invasion (MY), Mineski HyperX (PH) and Typhon.MAS (MY).
