A true veteran of the StarCraft pro-scene, Sea began his SC2 career as a member of Team 8 but now finds a new home in foreign-based Team Liquid.

With a seven years of progaming experience, Sea began his career at the age of 15 and grew to be one of the terrors of the Proleague, playing as the ace for MBC Hero and winning them the Proleague championship in 2006. Although not really known for his individual league performances, Sea holds many a victory against the scary BroodWars of old such as Nal_Ra, Reach, iloveoov, Yellow, GGPlay, Reach and more.

Despite not getting as much StarCraft 2 attention as some of his KeSPA colleagues, Liquid manager Victor "Nazgul" Goosens says that Sea "has impressed [Liquid] with how well he has transitioned so far, but it's clear that he's yet to reach his full potential in StarCraft II." In an interview for his new team, Sea himself said:

- "Honestly, I never thought I'd play StarCraft II at first. When players like MC, JYP, Symbol, or MarineKing switched over – about three years ago now was it? – I wasn't interested at all. I think that I thought it was foolish, things were so stable back then that I got complacent...

About a year ago, I started hearing from players who had made the switch first, and once KeSPA started to transition to StarCraft II, I started looking at it with a lot of interest.

I think the foreign scene has a much broader vision than the Korean scene. Because, you know, foreign = the whole world."
