Skånes Elit and Evil Geniuses play the final 91st match of StarLadder season 3 main round this evening. Skånes Elit trying to avoid a tiebreaker.
Convincing is the least you can say about Empire and Moscow 5's performance in StarLadder's StarSeries Season 3. In the main round, which comes to an end with today's match Skånes Elit against Team EG, they top the board a score of 42 and 36 points, respectively. Both teams are qualified for the SLTV finals in Kiev, to be held 18 to 21 October.
The runner-ups are four teams with the same score: Quantic, Virtus Pro, mousesports and Na'Vi managed to win 8 times out of 13 games. The league's size was reduced twice. First it was The Retry partially being kicked out of the league due to being too late multiple times, partially asking for disqualification. Later, Counter Logic Gaming started the pulling out of leagues, starting with StarLadder and continuing with TPL3.
3rd to 7th place will have the same amount of points
This way, the field reduced to only 14 teams, of which Kharkiv, fnatic, Darer and NEXT.kz can only check off this season. None of them managed to win more than three times. They sit on the final positions 11 to 14.
There is one match remaining from the 91 matches played in this main round of StarLadder: Skånes Elit against Team EG, and it can have some impact still.

The matches of CLG and TR are default losses.
Skånes Elite, Team EG, MeetYourMakers and Absolute Legends are currently with the same amount of points. Either Team EG or Skånes Elit will leave this group of 27-point-teams and join the group of 30-point-teams, of which there are four already.
Possible 3-way-tie with Skånes Elit, MYM and AL
As eight teams are said to be invited to the offline finals, the direct comparison between the loser of this final match and MYM and AL is decisive. As EG has won against both, they would be on top, but Skåne has lost against Absolute Legends, making it a possible 3-way-tie for eighth position.
However, above all offline final teams, a question mark persists. Two teams from the United States qualified, are they going to make the trip over the Atlantic? If Skånes Elit qualifies, will they manage to organize the trip without being under the wings of a big clan?
At least three question marks for playoff teams
For the Russian and Ukrainian teams, they will definitely make the trip. Mousesports managed to do it last time already. We'll see if it's going to be the top 8 at Kiev in the end, or if replacements and cancellations make the headlines for SLTV finals this time again.
