Fifteen came into this match as the clear underdog, but several persons - including Franzzii and Brized - revealed that Fifteen actually caused some troubles in scrims for the dominant team of the HoN scene today. Still it was compLexity Gaming's game to lose and the first map actually looked grim for the international roster on several occasions. The laning phase went pretty much in favor of Fifteen, who won two out of three lanes with Soulstealer middle picking up huge farm and simultaniously holding Witch Slayer in check. After that Flensmeister (Soulstealer) had a giant target on his back and was harassed and ganked several times in the early game, which allowed compLexity to retain the game in reach. They even jumped to the lead when they were pushing a bottom tower, after which they initiated on Fifteen with crushing results, even losing Soulstealer on another lane to a Legion tower. That engagement brought coL in front, but the lead was still very thin.

One engagement actually turned this lead upside down again, when coL wanted to push the middle tower. In similar fashion Cthulhuphant trampled in, but this time all five heroes of Fifteen were prepared and ready, turning this initiation around with a beautiful Soulstealer ultimate and massive burst from Pebbles coming out. Fifteen managed to get all five coL-players killed, but lost Soulstealer in that fight, which lessened the impact right there. Stat-wise, Fifteen had a slight lead at that point, but an unfortunate initiation on a Zephyr ultimately cost them the game. They decided to go on Zephyr, they used pretty much all their abilities on him, but the stunlock was one second to short and the cyclones brought him just enough life back to survive. The counter-initiation saw a huge four-man tempest ultimate, a Trample that hit everyone and the rest of coL doing as much damage as possible for the duration of the Elemental Void. That single engagement, those cyclones, those couple of Health Points on Zephyr turned a great initiation by Fifteen into a devastating loss for Fifteen, because in the remainder of the match they couldn't recover. The fights all ended up on compLexity's side and after forcing a couple of buybacks Fifteen decided to concede the game and go for the second map.

The second game wasn't even much of a game with Zetpro picking quite unconventional. The game had entertaining factors like Decourer, Chipper and Engineer going Boots first in order to be a ganking threat from the get go, but other than that compLexity didn't really fall for the trollish strategy of their opponents. They remained calm, getting the lanes under controll, not playing risky - not even with items in the early stages - and so the gank-heavy, Sand Wraith focussed strategy didn't really come into effect. Still Flensmeister played a good game being the best farmer in the game, but at the point were the middle lane got pushed through, the bottom lane was exposed and MoonMeander called for an Airstrike with his "Codex-Bomber" the game was sealed and compLexity came out of the Quarterfinal unscathed, once again.

The first portion of this match looked pretty good for Pikachu, who turned an early gank of Orange eSports into a 2-0 exchange in their favor, with Swindlemelonzz on Pebbles picking up both kills - including the valuable First Blood. ORGE was able to get the revenge kill on the suicide lane, with Ophelia and Dark Lady killing Wildsoul. That started a back-and-forth in kills, with Swindlemelonzz making some plays happening, but Orange constantly answering with kills of their own. Still a decent 2,000 gold advantage was the result of the early laning phase and Pikachu had all the confidence to go into the mid game. Unfortunately, the entire game got twisted and went south for Pikachu after _wangwang picked up his Portal Key and just crushed Pika with his initiations. He and dabeliuteef on Bubbles put ORGE in great spots for the fights and Pikachu lost basically every engagement after that PK pick up. After that they put all their eggs in one basket and attempted a very risky Kongor, which got countered and ended up in a 3-0 exchange in favor of Orange eSports, triggering Pika to concede the game.

The second match could have been the script of a movie, with XXF_ being the time-bomb and all the emphasis is on defusing said bomb. XXF_ played Sand Wraith and needed a lot of farm, but if he would get that farm he would be the uncontestet hard carry in the game, who should ultimately win the game in the later portion of the game. So Pikachu did everything to defuse that bomb, several ganks were launched, several times the timer was resetted and Pikachu bought more and more time. After one engagement it even looked like they finally disarmed the bomb entirely, when Pikachu turned a Kongor attempt by Orange into a Genocide, which not only gave Pika the Token of Life, but also the momentum to push the Meele Baracks in the middle lane. Still the bomb was still ticking and several dabeliuteef and his team members fought of the Defusal Squad on several occassions.
In the end Sand Wraith's farm blew up in the face of Pikachu and not even perfect ultimates by Magmus and Keeper of the Forest could turn that around - the Malaysians advance to the next round and will play the dominant compLexity Gaming in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Pikachu will play for their tournament future against Fifteen, loser gets eliminated.
