After a long and hard road, Spain's zerg superstar Vortix goes into the final match of WCS Europe Continentals against the only player that managed to beat him in the tournament: EG's Stephano.

Few people expected either of Spain's representatives - let alone both of them - to get so far in the tournament considering the amount of eSports veterans and multiple-event champions who populated the bracket. Nevertheless, there they were: the Duran brothers facing each other in the losers bracket of WCS Europe.
Coming from a loud, terran-slaying gig at IEM Gamescom, Vortix would have certainly been the favorite in the match up had his opponent not been his own brother (and also the terran that yesterday defeated DarkForce and Lowely and gave Stephano a hardest of times).
Daybreak and Cloud Kingdom were chosen as the first two maps, both really incentivizing Vortix's love for late-game play and brood lord pushes. True to his style, however, Lucifron was as proactive as can be with his hellions, once again claiming more than a hundred workers and delivering some heavy economy beating to his baby brother.
At the end of the day, though, Vortix's brood lords were too strong for Lucifron's mech to handle and the younger Duran went on to face Stephano in the grand final where the Frenchman will get the chance to pull a third victory in a row against the Spaniards for the $24,000 first place prize.
