NoTidehunter cotinues the series of 2-0s at DreamHack Winter 2012. In the first semi final they defeat Empire and proceed to the grand final against either fnatic or Team EG.

Akke, Loda and Co. are in the grand final! The oh so scary combination of Empire has been brought down in two convincing games. While match one was a trade of kills for a long time with just the better end for NoTidehunter, it looked like Empire lost their confidence after this first loss in the tournament.

Match two followed with a pushing strategy by Empire which entirely didn't work out. "You simply can't push against KotL and Magnus", was the way Black put it in the after-match analysis on the stream.

Why didn't they stick to their signature play with Templar Assassin, Bounty Hunter, Clinkz or Batrider? It had worked out in game 1 for a long time, only the Faceless Void, Magnus, Bounty Hunter combination of NTH was a bit easier to set up and Empire got a bit overeager and greedy from time to time.

The match EG vs. fnatic will follow starting 17:00 CET, determining the second finalist. Empire finishes in 3rd/4th place, a decider match will not be played. The prize money for losing in the semi final still is SEK25,000.

This also means that for the first time in a long while, there is no Eastern-European team in a major final of a non-Asian tournament. The Western-Europe and American players show their strengths in teamplay at DreamHack Winter Corsair Vengeance Cup.
