Dreamhack is upon us and a lot of exciting games await us. The group stages will determine which two teams advance and who will play against who in the quarter finals. It will also be a first show off of newly gained strengths. Look out for groups C and D!

Group A: Natus Vincere, Absolute Legends, 3DMAX, Out of Tangoes

What seems to be a piece of a cake for both Natus Vincere as well as Absolute Legends could actually become a surprise group. 3DMAX, formerly known as Gamer University, have shown great potential so far and could possibly take it from the new aL roster, whereas it seems to be a done deal for the Ukrainians. Out of Tangoes is a complete underdog and shouldn't have a say in the groups outcome.

Match of the group: Absolute Legends vs. 3DMAX - 15:00 CET

Group B: Evil Genuises, No Tidehunter, 4Friends+Chrillee, Rigg3d

Evil Genuises vs No Tidehunter. That will be the match to watch in this group. While EG has been impressive in the past weeks, but so has No Tidehunter. Both teams have the potential to take a top 3 spot in the tournament, turning this match in the group stage to an early decider, as to who will place first and secure them safer spots in the quarter finals.. 4Friends+Chrillee and Rigg3d will probably battle it out for a third place.

Match of the group: Team EG vs. NoTidehunter - 20:45 CET

Group C: Empire, mousesports, We Haz Asian, BYOC#1

Group C could turn out to be the most interesting group in this tournament. Normally one would say that Empire should walk through this group without any problems, but seeing as how Blowyourbrain isn't able to attend, the Russians could have issues coming up. Even if Sockshka is a good replacement and they have played together before - their performance could be out of place. Then there's Team Zero, now mousesports again. The Germans have shown a variety of performances in which they either got stomped or played superb. They can be force to be reckoned with, but could also fail utterly. Last but not least there's We Haz Asian, probably the most motivated team at Dreamhack. If the mix of Danish and German players get a good start, they could even take place 1. Seeing these three teams, one can only feel sorry for the BYOC team, unless it's the rumored fanatic.NA, who could potentially become a threat.

Match of the group: mousesports vs. We haz Asian - Friday

Group D: Dignitas, Pulse Esports, Fnatic.EU, BYOC#2

The last group will also see three teams battle it out for two slots, with Dignitas being a supposedly favorite in this match up. Fnatic.EU has probably never been in better shape than right now and Pulse Esports has proven over the past months that they better not be underestimated. All three teams up there could potentially be a top 4 contender, making this group stage even more exciting.

Match of the group: Pulse vs. fnatic - Friday
