Although not having the smoothest of runs, CLG did stand victorious in Solomid Series week three, going through Pulse, Chuuper's Troopers and two-times champions TSM.

It was a weird and bumpy ride for the new roster of CLG as they embarked on the way to a week three triumph. Dropping a game to Chuuper's Troopers in the first round was surprising enough given the renown gap between the two teams. Whatever insecurity in CLG's power there was, however, evaporated after a clean sweep of reigning champions TSM who have been on a dominating run in their own tournament, dropping just three maps in the previous two week combined.

By the end of championship Sunday, CLG would end up playing Pulse E-Sport thrice before pocketing the 380 tournament points: once in the winners bracket final (which CLG would take 2-0), once in the first grand final series (where Pulse took revenge and grabbed a 2-1 to stay in the tournament) and one more time in the final series that saw HotShot and company walk out with a 2-0.

This was more than necessary victory for CLG as the past two tournament were not too kind to them and by the end of week two, they were sitting fifth and 650 points behind the leaders. Although the gap is still large, recent results have shown that there is still a winning spirit in CLG and the playoffs are not outside their reach.
