The two best Chinese teams at The International will fight each other first in the World Cyber Games qualifier for China. Only one will have a chance to represent China in Kunshan.
Eight Chinese teams strife to represent their country at the World Cyber Games in China later this month. Only two will prevail in the single-elimination tournament. Starting this Monday, one match a day will be played whole week through.
For LGD and iG, the opening match could have been set hardly worse. The first and third placed teams from The International in Seattle face off already in round 1. As there is no lower bracket, it's do or die for both teams. The winner will face either Cruel or Forlover in the match for the WCG spot.
Every match is a knock-out match
In the other part of the bracket, it's DK against Leo in first round and NA against TongFu. Each half of the bracket will be played individually after each other. This way, we will know on Wednesday and Saturday which teams prevail. WCG Grand Final also uses single elimination tournaments to determine the winners.
A final match deciding who will be seeded first for the WCG Grand Final group stage will happen on Sunday. All matches are scheduled to start 11:30 CET/18:30 SGT. A Chinese cast is available on NeoTV.
