The Perfect MLG Weekend: Or the stories we all crave for
To any avid fan of E-sports, the most obvious realization is the wonder of possibility.
Take me to the feature!
We all have our favorites and we all have our expectations. Sometimes, we really want an upset or the underdogs to get to the top. Other times we appreciate the most efficient playstyle but hope for a bewildering crowd-pleasing meta change to an unfamiliar and exuberant style of play that we aren't used to.
To summarize a bit of the hype and wishes we all have going into a big event, our very own GosuGamers Crew member Nydra takes us through some of the excitement and giddy, hopeful fan wishes a lot of us will hope to see in the upcoming weekend.
An excerpt of the feature:
Dignitas and Curse snap out again, end up playing Catch the Teemo
Shame we don't have it for pro-games tooUnfortunately, with zero circuit points on the line, it’s very likely that a potential face off between the two be degraded to a simple ARAM or, god forbid, a proper game.
And that, my friends, is likely to not be the highlight of the tournament.
West vs East grand final
But this time - no peeking!Ultimately, this is how it should - no, must! - end. Foreigners versus Koreans has been a thing in StarCraft for a long time and it’s still the most vigorously consumed story in the scene. With League of Legends catching up to this paradigm and with S2WC still fresh and reminding the world which is the “superior gaming race”, there’s the feeling that this is just the right way that Fall Championship should end. West must go against East, power levels must be reevaluated, the invulnerability myth about the latter must be busted (or confirmed) and same goes for the former and the “here to only make show” label that was recently imposed upon them.
Whoever loses... we win. It's the essential final stroke that'll complete the vista worthy of Claude Monet's canvas.

Hopefully we'll all be getting the hype we've been waiting for, and if not, at the very least we have some major events to keep us busy until the official start of Season 3. Though we've heard it's supposed to be even bigger and more epic than Season 2, that might be difficult to surpass.
