After consecutive great performances on recent SEA tournaments, MuFc is proving their TI2 invite wasn't a fluke. In fact, their games are making a statement that they would want to be invited for next year's, too.

After the disappointing event that transpired last TI2, MuFc had undergone a roster change and has been showing that what had happened is just a thing of the past. They have been facing and winning against worthy opposition, and is starting to look like the team-to-beat on the SEA.

With that, GosuGamers got hold of one of MuFc's newer player to talk about his new team, the recent events that their team had won, and the upcoming tournaments for the team.

Hi. We thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to be with us. Would you mind to introduce yourself and your team?
Ohaiyo: Hi, I'm Ohaiyo from Team MuFc. About the team, I believe everyone knows Sharky , Ling and Net. We also have Ken on the team, he is from Singapore

You won the ESWC East Qualifier not too long ago. You survived 2 hard-fought days, and you capped it off with an amazing 3-1 win over Orange. How do you guys feel about it?
Ohaiyo: We're very happy that we could get the title. It was also the first team I defeated Orange personally.

Can you tell us more about the ESWC Finals about Orange?
Ohaiyo: We just took it very seriously because this is the Finals.

How did hyhy end up drafting for the team?
Ohaiyo: Because 1 of our player (Ling) was sick. So, we called hyhy to play as stand-in for us. It was supposed to be xFreedom, but he overslept. lol. Sharky got hyhy as the last-minute replacement.

How did you guys adjusted playing with him?
Ohaiyo: This is the first time that I team up with hyhy. We let him handle all the draft because we trust him.

Do you think that the result would have been different if Mushi was there?
Ohaiyo: Dota2 is a complex game - no one really knows how the game will turn out. We will know the answer when we play against Orange with Mushi.

Many people aren't expecting you guys to perform as good you did this soon because your team just recently changed players (Silvercross and TFG to Ohaiyo and Ken). Were you surprised with the results, or you expected to win the tournament?
Ohaiyo: I'm quite surprised that we could get this title because actually, we still haven't started training yet. I have to admit that hyhy led us pretty well.

[L-R] Sharky, Net, Ling, Ken, Ohaiyo

It is no secret that you guys were the underdog before the Final matches started. How did that make you feel?
Ohaiyo: We are used to it. The only thing we can do is try to win.

Considering the team and game changes, how did you train leading to the event?
Ohaiyo: Because Ling was still not feeling well, we actually haven't started practicing yet. I do a lot of solo queuing when I'm free to improve my individual skills.

ESWC would be held at Paris. Does the team intend on going there?
Ohaiyo: We really hope we can attend the event. But unfortunately, the expenses are really high (to Paris) and we have to pay everything for ourselves (air tickets, hotel, etc).

You defeated Orange, who did well last TI2. How do you guys think you would have fared?
Ohaiyo: I have no comment about this because at that time, I was still not part of MUFC yet.

You just recently defeated Orange again, and made yourselves the representative of Malaysia for The Asia 2012. Did you use any special technique or training, since they defeated your team on the Elite Playoffs?
Ohaiyo: We don’t have any special technique. But we had more preparation to fight them on this Final [matches]. On the first game, we had a nice surprise last pick with Weaver. Orange’s heroes couldn’t catch weaver easily, so that gave our weaver a good farm in the middle game, and it eventually got fat. In the second game, I think Orange just didn’t do so well that time.

Ohaiyo's previous team, Invasion

Your team's only loss on the regional playoffs is against the team that eliminated you last GosuCup Asia, which is Invasion. Do you have a hard time playing with your former team?
Ohaiyo: Team Invasion has become stronger after I moved to Team MuFc. Yes, they are quite strong. I have a hard time playing with them but next time it won’t be as easy to take me down. Haha (This is For SHenGG, captain Of Invasion).

GEST Dota 2 is approaching. How do you like your chances there?
Ohaiyo: I believe we can get a good result over there. We are happy for the chance.

Who are the toughest team there to fight against?
Ohaiyo: In SEA, it is Orange of course. In China, I guess all Chinese teams because they are really professional [towards playing].

Any closing remarks and shout-outs?
Ohaiyo: Thanks for our sponsors, TT-Esports and Eclub, for giving us this opportunity to show our potential to the world! Also, thanks to our Fans who always support us. Thank you :)
