South East Asia is the next destination for Intel Extreme Masters as the tournament will make a stop at the SITEX trade show in Singapore at the end of next month.

This will be IEM's second event for this season after the political issues between China and Japan forced a cancellation of IEM Guangzhou. Qualifications for IEM Singapore will start on October 15th with more information about the tournament coming this week. The combined prize pool for the two disciplines StarCraft 2 and League of Legends is $82,000.

The tour has never been to Singapore before. It is a strategic goal for ESL and for Intel to bring eSports at the highest level to new territories every season in order to develop competitive gaming worldwide. We are excited to see what kind of reception local fans will give to gaming superstars at SITEX 2012.
