It was a busy day over in Seattle at the playoffs of The International 2012. Here is our summary of the content of the day from the Benaroya Hall:
Matchwise, the day started off with LGD continuing its winning streak, now being up 16-0. Zenith and compLexity played the follow-up game, and Zenith managed to turn around a residue into a win. This great feeling of achieving a comeback was not granted to Team EG. Though being the audience's favorite, the Americans lost 1-2 against Invictus Gaming. Na'Vi then held the hopes for European fans up, winning 2-1 against DK. We caught a video showing how much Na'Vi rejoiced that moment.
Sad moments had to come in the evening, with the first four teams leaving the tournament by losing in the lower bracket. First, mTw had the worse end against CLG, not being successful with a typical mTw-style strategy. Same thing happened to mousesports, the replacement team of MUFC, they lost against EHOME and finished in tied 13th place. Going into the 14th and 15th match of the day, TongFu and Darer were able to beat class="latestnews">first Moscow 5 and then absolute Legends.
We brought you a number of player interviews today, starting off with ChuaN from team Invictus Gaming, who self-confidently said EG would be easy to beat for iG. Knowing now how close that match was, this statement sound kind of awkward. Mirakel explained in his interview, that he thinks his team CLG was unlucky in the group phase. How unlucky can you be to go from 6-0 to 6-8? Loda gave us the most detailed interview of the day, explaining why Zenith lost map 1 against compLexity. Dendi, after the win against DK, explained that he is basically just thinking about the present task when going into a match. We also interviewed Jeyo from team compLexity and dpmlicious, one of the backstage interviewers of The International in the late evening.
During our precoverage in early morning, we brought you two videos: Check out the real secret shop in the Benaroya Hall, which sells goodies and Dota 2 stuff. 2GD presented himself kinda rude this early in the morning in that video. With video content from yesterday, we presented you two funny fake interviews from the rehearsal of The International. HolyMaster was impersonating Xiao8 from LGD, while Eric displayed Mushi from team Orange, and both definitely had a lot of fun. In another article, an opinion on why Dota 2 matters for everyone in eSports was shared.
In our preview for Saturday's upper bracket matches, we raised the question, if LGD will extend the winning series to 18-0 against Zenith.

We will continue our coverage on Saturday, bringing you interviews, photos and articles from Seattle, Benaroya Hall. This day, eight teams will be eliminated from the tournament!
