One successful tournament in the books, next on the horizon. After the dilemma last year with a lack of high-profiled tournaments S2 Games is learning and pushes out tournaments at a steady pace. On the day of the OSC finale the successor was already lined up and ready to go.

The battlefield was still warm, dust was still hanging above the Forest of Caldavar, the echo of Chessie's Annihilation could still be heard, the DreamHon Online Summer Championship was just over when Heroes of Newerth already had the next big tournament lined up for the competitive scene to enjoy. With one ticket to DreamHack already gone, nine places are still open for the remaining teams to get to Jönköping for the DreamHon Event.

The next chance leads to the Redemption tournament that will feature the best 16 teams from the OSC group stage. Those teams have shown in said group stage that they are worthy contenders for a DreamHack spot and now they get another shot to punch the ticket and get the $4,000 USD travel stipend for the trip. Next to the stipend the tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $7,000 USD on top of that, making it a $11,000 USD tournament overall.

The DreamHon OSC Champions compLexity Gaming will get another chance for a huge tournament victory, being in it for pride and the $4,000 USD prize for another championship. All other teams have the chance to compete for the stipend aswell as the money in this Double-Elimination tournament, starting September, 5th at 21 CET. If compLexity will win this tournament once again, the stipend will go to the runner-up, but the big cheque will remain courtesy of coL.

Some of those invited teams have disbanded and rumours about more disbandment are floating around so it is doubtful that all spots will be filled. Still the invites have been sent to the team captains and they are allowed to switch out a maximum of two players from the DreamHon OSC roster. More than two changes to the roster are prohibited though, to justify the invite for the performances of the team.

The three-week extravaganza will be covered once again by Honcast and GosuGamers.net, bringing you all the infos live on stream and as recaps, VoDs and previews through this website.
