The fourth season of IPL began with a zerg victory as Fnatic's Alive fell to IMNesTea 0-2 in the opening match of the tournament.
On Cloud Kingdom, Alive opened with a hellion pressure into banshees and was looking forward to do early damage with a follow-up marine/tank push but NesTea was well out of immediate danger as banelings and mutas took control of the defense. Alive continued building upon that same composition in an unfortunate momoment NesTea caught him unsieged and out of position, surrounding his army and following its slaughter with a baneling/ling victory raid.
Game two was played on Sanshorn Mists and NesTea was under early pressure again as Alive opened with a 2-rax into CC. After defending the marine attack, NesTea switched to hunter mode and in a very July-esque fashion did a lightning fast baneling/speedling bust in response. Alive's economy was brought down to almost ten SCVs and MULEs and his two banshees were all that kept the terran going. Still, his doom was inevitable and Alive signed that with a GG when mutas hit the field.
