At the end of the last online qualifiers for Dreamhack 2012, Virtus.Pro emerge victorious against opponent compLexity Gaming after a best-of-three Grand Final. Virtus.Pro now set to head to Dreamhack Summer 2012 main event in Jönköping, Sweden.
In the final online qualifiers for Dreamhack Summer 2012, 32 teams, professional and amateur were witnessed battling it out for their seats in Jönköping. Virtus.Pro after defeating DTS, and compLexity Gaming after defeating Infused would eventually be the final two teams standing in the last qualifier. In the best-of-three final Virtus.Pro emerged victorious over compLexity Gaming in a 2-0 win. This was the third finals loss for compLexity Gaming, having lost to Moscow 5 1-2 in qualifier #1 and Keita-Gaming 0-2 in qualifier #3.
Virtus.Pro having just signed Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov and Kuro 'KuroKy' Salehi Takhasomi now appear as a fresh force to be reckoned with in the Dota 2 scene. When asked his thoughts on going to Dreamhack with his new squad, NS had this to say:
Yaroslav 'NS' Kuznetsov:
"I am glad to be in a list of DreamHack teams. I've never been in Sweden, but always wanted to visit this country. DreamHack is one of the biggest tourneys with a great history, I really want to look on it by my own eyes. And yeah, we expect to win this or at least show a good game."
Now at the end of it all, four spots remain for the main event at Dreamhack Summer 2012, from June 16 to June 19. The last four teams will be decided in Bring-Your-Own-Computer (BYOC) qualifiers at the event itself.
