Not being able to play out the final match in Group B due to technical problems, Zenio and NightEnd engaged in a re-game to determine who would follow Kas to the playoffs.
The IEM organizers ruled out that the series would grow into a Best of 5 with the starting score being two-nil in Zenio's favor. After an immaculate game on Shattered Temple, however, NightEnd's stalker/colossus was able to bring the long overdue conclusion of the match to a fifth game.
The latter was played on Terminus with Night End going for the same stalker/colossus composition but staying too much on two bases and not actually breaching Zenio's defenses. The Korean zerg thus powered up to 90 drones and reached a lucrative late-game position where he could hold the protoss forces indefinitely thanks to fungal growths, allowing him to reach brood lord tech undisturbed. Caught in a chain fungal and strewed with countless broodlings, NightEnd surrendered the series, allowing Zenio to move further, putting him in the company of Naniwa, WhiteRa, Kas, MMA and Pomi.
