Kim "SaSe" Hammar, Korea's Choi "TheStC" Yun Sik and Lee "MarineKing" Jung Hoon and Canadian Moon "DdoRo" Jung Ho reached the Pool Play after going through the Open Bracket's upper tree.

The Protoss player SaSe went through his bracket to clash with fellow Swede JinrO in the sixth round. After a quick and successful four-gate on Xel'Naga Caverns, SaSe had to work harder for the second win on Antiga Shipyard but could after a long back-and-forth game seal the deal with a 2-0. SaSe will enter Pool B.



MarineKingPrime, attending the MLG Orlando event thanks to donations from the Reddit Starcraft community, did not disappoint his foreign fans, running through the open bracket taking scalps on HwangSin, Polt-killer goswser and vileIllusion. This granted him a spot in Pool A where he is to face his idol BoxeR as well as foreigner superstars TLO and IdrA.

Terran player TheStC went up against IGN ProLeague: Origins champion Stephano in the fifth round, and did so with a bunker rush on the first game on Dual Sight. Game turned into a much longer game, played out on Shakuras Plateau. Despite 74 banelings out on the field and a throng of brood lords, TheStC was able to take the game thanks to luring down the accompanied roaches to take out the brood lords and mutalisks with his top upgraded marines. StC gets placed in Pool C to play Hongun, Ret and Rain to mention some.

Vile Gaming's Canadian DdoRo of Korean origin had a more anonymous but yet impressive run in his bracket tree. Inori, RSVP, KawaiiRice and Hasuu were some of the players he went through to reach the tough D pool to create an even more Protoss dominated pool with HuK, HerO, MC, Tyler and lone Zerg July.
