The South Korean players are off to a good start at IPL 3. The first day of the pool play formed the standings in groups A and B, topped respectively by Alive and MC both undefeated thus far.
Stephano was the only foreigner who could make it to the higher top 2 seeds in the group. The French played his debut IPL 3 game vs HuK, dramatically defeating him with a 2-0 in a ZvP of a highest calibre. Although he could not pass through Alive, Stephano scored an important win over Boxer to climb up to 2nd place. Boxer himself was not in his best shape and dropped to the bottom of the group with a 0-6 score.
In group B, MC crushed people left and right, including his compatriot and terran maestro Ryung, who finished second with 4-2 score. With their closing victories for the night against Strelok and Ret, the Korean duo cemented their dominance in the group, taking the top 2 seeds into the tournament bracket.

Bear in mind that no contender from the group stage will drop out of the tournament and the pool play's only purpose is to allocate seeds for the tournament bracket. Apart from the 16 group stage players, 16 more will join in from the open 256-player tournament.
