The MLG first-timer Dong Nyung "Leenock" Lee won an important victory over EG's Idra and made it to losers bracket round 8. Leenock is looking forward to slay another EG member as he is scheduled to play HuK next.

Idra made it to LB Ro4 by defeating his team-mate EGPuma 2-1. Idra started on the wrong foot, shooting a premature GG by just glimpsing Puma's horrifying mech army and had to fight tooth and nail to equalize the score on Metalopolis, although Puma did not make it any easier for him. The terran opened with a reactor hellion build and his impeccable micro was rewarded by more than 20 dead drones. Idra, however, started inching back into the game his biggest move being a huge roach/mutalisk play that cleaned most of Puma's mech and opened all sorts of crack in terran's defense. Idra used them to punish Puma's SCVs and win the economy war and seal the deal in the late game with his brood lords.

The third game on Temple was a heart-stopper. Puma was the first on the aggression going for a marine/medivac push but split-second speedlings chased him away so he had think of another plan to outsmart his team-mate. That came in the form of a big thor/marine/tank which got absolutely decimated by perfect flank. Idra glided on this inertia to reach a critical mass of mutas only to lose most of them to a couple of thor shots. That put Puma back into the game and made the match way more tangled until Idra untied the know with a massive infestor/brood lord explosion.

It was not meant for Idra to win Providence, however, as his advance was halted by FXOLeenock. The young zerg had a very easy time in game one but had to break a sweat on Metalopolis as Idra would just not die to his attacks. Leenock successfully delayed Idra's third twice and transitioned into mutalis/baneling composition but his first major attack at the now complete third was repelled by Idra's excellent hydralisk split micro. Greg immediately went on the counter offensive but met another bane/muta resistance that melted his army, forcing him to GG out of the tournament.

Leenock is currently playing HuK on the red stream while blue is taking care of the third game between HayPro and Mvp.
