Soo Ho "DongRaeGu" Park is the first player to make it to the Providence WB final. The MVP zerg scored a 2-0 triumph over oGsMC and will await the winner of HuK and Naniwa.
True to his PvZ style, MC went for fast nexus into double stargate and began abusing his air superiority sniping queens left and right and even getting a precious hatchery. As hydras popped out, however, MC had to fall back immediately, regroup and make sure that his colossus transition completes safely but DRG would not allow him that gift. The zerg thirsted for blood and all his hatcheries started rallying roaches and hydras straight into MC's base. As the protoss force dwindled more and more, DRG even /danced his hydras for a pinch of abuse victory before the two going into game two.
The seconds game on Dual Sight saw MC opening with a blink/sentry timing attack but his hesitation cost him everything. DRG's fast three bases spat out an overwhelming amount of units that sniped all of MC's sentries even despite all the immaculate forcefields. Thus, the game came down to a roach vs blink stalker war and MC did his best and microed his heart out before finally waving the white flag as infestors hit the field.
The second WB semi final is still to be played but before that the blue stream will broadcast the EG team-kill between Idra and Puma.
