Johan "Naniwa" Lucchesi caused an uproar with his 2-1 victory over tournament favorite Mvp. The Swede will meet NesTea in the Global Invitational finals, getting the chance to fight for the $4,000 first place prize.

After a prolonged macro first set, Naniwa came out ahead, continuing the pattern of foreigners giving the Koreans a very tough time on Providence ground. Naniwa was on the path of almost beating Mvp a second time on Shattered Temple, but the terran's crysis management was off the chart and he managed to survive long enough and turn Naniwa's earlier mistakes right back at him to make the score 1-1.

The set on Dual Sight saw a very equal game with minor back-and-forth action until the two armies passed by each other to fire off a base race, Mvp ended up with the bigger (and better) army and had saved his orbital but Naniwa had secured a nexus of his own, leveling the playing field completely.

The unending maneuvers eventually led Naniwa to Mvp's CC and the final battle began, developed and ended in mere seconds. By cleverly retreating behind his orbital to make the battle more cost efficient for him, Mvp started to rain hell on Nani's army but in a most strange decision he finally lifted the CC, opening the gates to his destruction. With a lot more space to operate with, Nani's army started shredding the terran resistance and soon the score was 2-1 for the Swede.

The MLG Global Invitational Grand final is coming up next. NesTea vs Naniwa. Don't miss it out.
