The best Zerg player in Korea Jae Duk "NesTea" Lim is the first grand finalist for the MLG Global Invitational. In a clutch Bo3 series, NesTea took out America's hope Idra 2-1.

Idra threw a spiky, painful gauntlet at NesTea, winning the first game with a perfectly timed +2 hydra/roach rush with a creep highway and made casters and fans wonder if the foreign Zerg can deliver an upset and do the unthinkable - beat NesTea in ZvZ.

In the second set on Antiga, Idra went for an infestor build, successfully defending the first attacks of NesTea but then going straight for a counter attack and as he overextended just a little bit, NesTea managed to pull off a great arc and tie the score.

The final set started extremely fortunate for Idra as well, as his consecutive baneling attacks brought the drones kill count to near 20. Idra took a third off of that and as his defenses were spread beautifully he soon took the opportunity to throw down a fourth and even a fifth at the gold. The armies mirrored each other through almost the entire game but eventually NesTea added those tasty infestors to the mix and marched towards Idra's base. Although with an extremely good concave for the American, the fungal DPS for NesTea was just too much and after several more stroke the Korean battered through Idra's defenses to extort a GG and advance to the Global Invitational Finals.

NesTea will be expecting the winner of Naniwa and Mvp so this tournament will end with a story to tell either way - either it will be a classic Korea vs The West clash or it will come down to a BlizzCon rematch.
