Moonan vs MVP, Saturday 04:30 CET, Blue Stream
A son of South Korea, Moonan has grown very close to the foreigner's heart as he moved to New York to study abroad. This is where Moonan first broke out on the SC2 scene scoring cashes in countless weekly events, becoming one of the first North American server players to be able to compete in European events. That does not mean however that this was the first time Moonan has tasted success- he was a semi-pro in StarCraft: Brood War, a feat many struggled to achieve. His opponent for this match however is no pushover- as the song goes, anything Moonan can do, MVP can do better. A full-fledged BroodWar progamer with 76 official games under his belt he is considered by many to be the highest skilled BroodWar player to have switched over to SC2. His tournament circuit achievements? Two GSL titles. It seems then that Moonan is hopelessly outmatched. But don't be so quick to judge. MVP has lost his last two TvT matches- the latest to QXC, Moonan's teammate while Moonan on the other hand will come to MLG in the shape of his life. With an FXO Korea team on his side with Gumiho and sC at the helm as his practice partners Moonan is guaranteed to achieve his full potential coming into this event. One thing for sure- this is gonna be a blood bath.
