After two days of GSTL it was about time we go back to the individual leagues. The morning part of the Code A Monday opened with well-known names like Leenock, Rainbow and Min as well as new hopes such as Yoda, Ready and Luvsic.

Ready vs Dream

Dream was all over Ready (previously known as Nuts) in the first game on Tal'Darim Altar. The young terran used constant marauder drops combined with full frontal assaults to kill protoss' tech as well as his natural assimilator more times than it's healthy. After the soft bio contain was too tough for the protoss to break out, Ready gg-ed out.
The roles got switched on Terminus as Ready tried to break Dream's front with his gateway army but the absurd amount of bunkers did not allow that to happen. And once again Dream used his bio force to maximum efficiency, getting further ahead of his opponent and winning the series.

Creator vs Luvsic

Creator got a quick first win against the Zerg newcomer Luvsic. The protoss went for a +1 blink timing push on Tal'Darim Altar and caught zerg's third in the process of being saturated. Not having enough roaches, Luvsic was forced to go into game two with a 0-1 disadvantage.
Seeing that it worked fine, on Dual Sight Creator once again opened blink and marched down the third of Luvsic but the Zerg already had +1 for his roaches, them being in much higher amount this time. With his stalker army completely annihilated, the protoss crumbled under the zerg counter attack.
The game on Caverns ended just as quickly as a big early-game force of zerglings forced a nexus cancel and killed a lot of Creator's sentries due to a bad micro from protoss' side. Having little to no force fields, Creator was ran over by the hydra/roach mid-game push and the newcomer Zerg would advance to the Ro16.

HopeTorture vs Leenock

Threatened with dropping out from GSL, Rainbow (now nicknamed Hopetorture again) knew he had to play his absolute best against Leenock. He opened the Terminus set with a bunker rush but sadly for him that got repelled easily and soon a huge muta force came to harass his mineral lines. A roach follow-up soon joined the party and the combined forces of zerg managed to kill a tech lab before siege tech is done. Without siege for his tanks, Rainbow was practically dead and knowing that, the ST terran gg-ed.
The game on Crossfire began once again with a bunker rush but that shared the same fate as the first one and Rainbow chose to transition to cloak banshees. Those dealt just as little damage as the early pressure and now Leenock was on the hunt for terran mech. Knowing that mutas will be there soon, Rainbow built 4 thors to defend his base but Leenock smartly added some roaches to the mix, sniping the thors and allowing his fliers to rain havoc and extort a GG from GSL #1 runner-up who was now out of any GSL competition.

Min vs Yoda

Fire and flames coloured the layout of Metalopolis as Yoda opened preigniter hellions and began his relentless attempts to hurt Min's economy. After his mass hellion front-door push got slaughtered, and so did the drop play, Yoda's third push finally brought some results, putting the zerg at twice as few workers as the terran. Min tried to come back with a sneaky nydus play but when his roaches popped out in Yoda's main there was just too many mech units there and the game went in favour of the terran.
Tal'Darim Altar was the second map in the series and Min opened it with an early roach pressure and after that got defended, Yoda countered with preigniter hellions with transition to full mech. As soon as the terran got +2/+1 for his units, he moved out for a timing push but a burrow roach trap obliterated his whole army and an immediate counter cost the terran his third. From that point on Min played a perfect game, feinting drops and using infestors to maximize the damage during army trades. After several more minutes, the game was his.
The third and decisive set on Belshir Beach started really bad for Yoda as a sunken supply depot allowed Min's lings to flood in and scout every single piece of tech and by the time those preigniter hellions reached zerg's base there were several roaches ready to bathe them in acid. But then Min went for an extremely audacious move, sending a ton of burrow roaches straight through terran's mineral rine without worrying too much about the unending tank fire. Although a lot of SCVs died from splash in the process, Yoda managed to sneak his hellions in Min's base and thrash his economy while the attack was under way. Being down 11 workers to 24, Min had to surrender the series and fall out of Code A.
