The controversy based poker radio show “QuadJacks” has announced a change in its operations, switching to a subscription based model that offers additional features for a monthly fee. Although users will still be able to view live broadcasts free of charge, those hoping to watch at their own leisure or download the show as a podcast will be forced to join one of the show’s three membership plans.
For $5 a month, silver members will be provided with chat privileges during live shows and on-demand streams of previous broadcasts. Those hoping to download podcasts will have to shell out $10 a month, while premium members ($20) will be provided access to a live video stream, the entire audio archives, and an “after-show” that will be exclusive for platinum members.
The QuadJacks radio show has become a staple of the poker industry since “Black Friday.” It first gained fame and popularity as a sort of command center after Black Friday, when the show literally streamed for days on end. Since then, the show has been a lightning rod of controversy often featuring extremely outspoken and controversial guests like Mike Matusow, Daniel Negreanu, and Tony G. Most recently, the show featured Michael DaVita, a sex offender who was controversially barred from participating in the Epic Poker League Main Event after winning a seat in the shows Pro/Am Qualifier.
