Maceiras Leads as Day 3 Concludes with 47 Remaining in Partouche Main Event
Day 3 in Cannes, France saw the money bubble burst with 63 players left in the €8,500 buy-in Partouche Poker Tour main event. Freddy Deeb was one of the first to hit the rail collecting €12,000 for his 62nd place. There are 47 players left led by Spaniard Juan Maceiras who will return for Day 4 on Friday as chip leader.
Maceiras is closely followed by EPT regulars Ludavic Lucay and Anton Lionel. Sam Trickett, who had a strong beginning to 2011, sits in 10th currently.
Notables still in contention include Joe Cassidy, recent WPT winner Will Failla, recent WSOP bracelet winner Oleksil Kovalchuk, and Juha Helpi.
Arnaud Mattern lost A,Q to K's to go out in 60th. Other notables to follow him were Rebecca Gerin, James Bord and previous chip leader Paul Pires-Trigo.
The remaining 47 will be aiming for the final table and the resulting payouts:

6th - €190,000

Although the numbers were down from the 764 that played last year, a total of 579 players entered the Partouche main event creating a prizepool of over €4.3 million.
