With all the transfers happening in the Chinese DotA scene, the news of players leaving the scene would almost seem apt in such chaos. Indeed, retirement has befallen the scene and it took the form of two experienced players, EHOME's Crystal and Tyloo's Kabu.

Both players expressed on their Microblog that they would be making a clean break from DotA. What remains for the teams they left behind or their future after DotA is at best hopeful and if not uncertain.

Crystal

Part of the team that took first runner's up at Gamescom, Crystal, or FCB, displayed extraordinary resistance and versatility in the games he played, especially during the countless comebacks that EHOME was a part of at the tournament in Germany.

Originally meant to fill the void left by LongDD, he has since matured and developed his own style within EHOME and his departure from the scene will hurt the team as they press on for the year end LANs.

Kabu

The victim of mass abandonment, Kabu found himself alone while his teammates were ruthlessly poached by other teams and left Tyloo one by one. Seven teammates have left during his five month stay in Tyloo. Although they have reformed with a new roster (see below), it seems that Kabu will not be a part of them and will close the curtain on his short but successful career in DotA.

With these two players gone, will the scene finally see stability? Indeed, Crystal and Kabu will be missed, but no doubt their legacy continues.
