Although he'll come in as the short stack, PokerStars pro Eugene Katchalov is the biggest named pro who made the final table of eight players in the EPT Barcelona €5,300 main event at Casino Barcelona. Spain's Tomeu Gomila is the sizable chip leader with nearly 7 million chips.

With the average stack at around 60 big blinds, there should be a good amount of play at the table for all but Katchalov who with less than 15 big blinds will need to get lucky early to have any change for the title.

The European Poker Tour's first stop of their 2011/2012 season set new records including the biggest poker tournament every held in Spain with 811 players and the largest prizepool of €4,055,000.
