This weekend marks the start of Hao Fang Golden League, and the opening match will see ZSMJ and newly reformed LGD take on his old teammates YYF and co who have left for Invictus Organisation. Today, Xiao8 from LGD has taken time off for a short albeit interesting interview by SGamer.
Why don't you start off with an introduction?
-"Hello everybody, I'm xiao8."
Are you able to reveal why you and DDC left iG for LGD?
-"I believe the reasons were made known already.. We willingly made the choice to go to LGD because we had friends in LGD and we wanted to win together with them."
How do you feel after joining LGD? What are the differences between LGD and iG?
-"It feels the same, well, given they are both gaming organisations. But it feels good returning to Changsha.. *laughs*"
LGD is set to meet iG.Y in your opening match. Are you guys confident of winning this tournamnet?
-"Of course we are confident."
What are your goals for this tournament?
-"We have only one goal in sight - the championship!"
Has LGD prepared anything special for this event?
-"It's not convenient to discuss this.. all will be made known when the time comes."
In your opinion, which teams will be your toughest opponents?
-"DK, iG, EHOME, and WE are all strong teams.."
Are you able to tell us the strongest players of each role in DotA?
-"These things are not supposed to be set in stone, and I suppose all players have their strengths and weaknesses. Furthermore, DotA emphasizes teamplay and not individual ability."
Have you started training with your new team, LGD? How are preparations like? How long do you guys train each day?
-"Recently, we have not been training much. We are all merely trying to adjust ourselves. But when we train, we focus on playing clan wars with other teams, but it mostly amounts to one best of three match a day. I guess it's more important that we understand the game and each other."
What do you guys do in your free time?
-"Just about anything to relax ourselves.."
Any last words for your fans?
-"Thanks for all your support. We will try our best for this tournament, and reciprocate with new and exciting strategies."
