One of the first and most popular British-based poker TV shows is back for a new season. An early adapter to using "under-the-table" cameras and sharing player insights into their moves, Late Night Poker proved popular through its many versions over the years. The new season began filming August 23rd in Cardiff, Wales.

The format for this season will have 32 players play each other. Of those 32, 28 of them will be known poker professionals such as Vanessa Selbst, previous winner Dave "The Devilfish" Ulliot, Liv Boeree, Vanessa Selbst, John Duthie, Sam Holden, Richard Ashby, Luke Schwartz, Toby Lewis, Barny Boatman, and Jake Cody. The remaining for will be internet qualifiers from various Late Night Poker satellites.

Players will buy-in is $10,000 with the winner taking home $150,000.

The first episodes will begin airing on Channel 4 starting October 3rd.

This season Late Night Poker has a new sponsor in Coral Poker with an updated set and look. The venerable show launched in 1999 and helped popularize poker in England.

Players who won or received significant notoriety from playing in the series o over the years include Dave Ulliot, Ram Vaswani, Ross Boatman, Padraig Parkinson, Roland De Wolfe, Huck Seed, Phil Ivey, and John Duthie.

Notable announcers included Jesse May, Nic Szeremeta, Barny Boatman, Lucy Rokach, Victoria Coren and Gary Jones.
