Its been a good day for DotA fans all over world because we finally got to see gameplay footage of Dota 2. The streams started off with a feel hitches, but Valve quickly fixed it. So lets take a look at what happened on day one.

The opening match between EHOME and iG came as a rather big surprise to many with EHOME taking the win over iG in a 90 minute game, considering the recent performance of both teams. They later continued to dominate their group with a clear 3-0 score putting them on top. iG however, came back from their first loss and took down SGC and Mineski with ease. Sadly the Philippine team, Mineski were unable to beat any of their opponents and will have to settle with being last in their group.
Over in group B, another surprise happened. OK.Nirvana.Int was able to dispatch all their opponents Tyloo, OK.Nirvana.CN and Virus with ease and got a 3-0 score, putting them on top. Tyloo won their game over fellow compatriot, OK.Nirvana.CN and France's Virus, putting them second on the group. OK.Nirvana.CN fell short and placed third in their group, Virus takes fourth.
Group C saw a three way tie between Moscow.5, MYM and MiTH.Trust all with a 2-1 score. Time rating was used to determine the placings of the teams with MYM and Moscow.5 with the better time rating. MiTH.Trust gets third placing and the Malaysian team, MUFC gets fourth.
Crowd favorites. Na'Vi did not disappoint, defeating all their opponents left, right and center. Singaporean team, Scythe.SG with the help of superstar player iceiceice managed to clinch two wins over GGnet and Nevo. Giving them a 2-1 score in their group. Sadly, GGnet was out of form and lost all their matches.
Top two of each team will play in the winner's bracket, while the bottom two will head into the loser's bracket to get another chance at the 1 million dollars.
