Russian Leonid Bilokur leads after Day 1A of the €5,000 buy-in European Poker Tour San Remo main event Day 1A.

There will be 225 players moving on to Day 2 from the 438 Day 1A entrants at the Casinio San Remo.

Notables who didn't make it through the day included Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Arnaud Matter, JP Kelly and EPT winners Anton Wigg and Michael Eiler, and 2009 EPT San Remo champion Constant Rijkenberg.

Day 1B is expected to have a more high profile field and will need much greater numbers if they plan to reach last year's numbers. Last year Liv Boeree won the €1,250,000 first prize and became only the third woman in EPT history to win a champion’s title.
