FnaticMSI wins Move Up Cup, qualifies for EMS Season 8
After failing to make it into the ESL Major Series via the qualifier tournaments, FnaticMSI looked like they would be left out of one of Europe's major HoN events. But a spot opened up at the last minute, and MSI managed to win the impromptu "Move Up Cup" to become the 16th and final team in the EMS.
FnaticMSI had a tough time in the three EMS Qualifier Cups that they participated in, getting knocked out by Team Empire, Reason Gaming, and Online-Kingdom (all who went on to qualify). An untimely disconnect in their match against OK had all but sealed their chances to qualify.
[OK] Mag1X might have predicted the future when he said, "As if they would start EMS without MSI."
German team Stop Attacking Axe dropped out at the last minute, causing the ESL to hold an impromptu tournament to decide who would replace them. The Move Up Cup was played yesterday, a winner-takes-all, single-elimination tournament and the last chance for one team to slip into the EMS. 23 teams participated, but MSI would not be denied this time around and defeated PORT in the finals.

With the EMS already a week into the group stage portion, FnaticMSI joins Online-Kingdom, Reason Gaming, and Glittering Prizes in Group D. It is certainly a challenging group, and MSI has a lot to prove against two of the teams who beat them in the qualifiers.
