KeSPA have announced that they will be moving the Proleague grand final venue to Shanghai, China. According to Fomos, as a result of this many BroodWar fans have raised objections in the Korean public boards towards breaking a long-year tradition.

In order to expand the very prestigious Proleague outside the borders of Korea, KeSPA have decided to change the venue of the grand final to Shanghai, China. This breaks the long tradition of hosting the final games at Gwangalli Beach in Busan, Korea. As a result of this, many Korean BW fans have expressed their discontent around the public boards.

Fomos have translated some of the complaints which are saying that "to not be able to watch [the Proleague grand final] live in Korea is making a mockery out of [the fans]." Other state that such change of venue might be appropriate for the individual league but breaking a long-lasting tradition "just to host [the Proleague] overseas just doesn’t make any sense."

There are positive comments as well, though, and both them and Fomos state that this move can be beneficial for globalizing the e-Sport.
