Outspoken poker pro Allen Bari won Event #4, the $5,000 No Limit Hold'em WSOP tournament Sunday. Bari won the bracelet and $874,116 in outlasting 925 opponents.

Bari defeated poker pro and Amazing Race contestant Mario Ho heads-up who settled for $540k in her biggest cash to date. Bari quickly called Ho's pre-flop all-in with 8's that beat Ho's A,4 suited that couldn't improve.“A bracelet means a lot but I don’t think a bracelet should validate you as a player.

I do have a swagger but I don’t think it’s undeserved. I’ve been playing poker a long time. But I’m not arrogant in terms of everything, just in poker because I’m really good at poker.

I don’t lie. I’m just better than most people at poker.

And I should have four, because I’m the illest. But I only have one. And stinkers like Phil Hellmuth have eleven.”Allen Bari graduated from Rutgers University with a double major in Economics and Finance. He worked in Finance in Manhattan before turning to poker full time in 2007. Bari has been playing live tournaments since 2004 with over $1.7 million in earnings, but a major title had thus far eluded him.

Two interesting elements were that Bari is backed by Jason Mercier and had been several hundred thousand dollars in makeup. No longer. Secondly, Bari earned a $20,000 bonus as a result of a prop bet he won with Shaun Deeb on who would win a bracelet first.
