Match 1 oGsTOP verus oGsNaDa

Game 1 @ Terminus RE

The first match of the day started off quite interestingly as NaDa opened up with a strategy that is rarely or has never been seen. He spawns at the 6 o'clock position and decides to go double Reaper with his first Barracks while TOP decides to build a Command Center after his first Barracks. Rather than just jumping in with his two Reapers, NaDa would run up the ramp with an SCV to tank the damage from two Marines. The attack is decently done, NaDa loses the SCV and kills several Marines and SCVs in return. Although executed quite wel, the attack doesn't do a lot of damage and NaDa transitions to blue-flame Hellions next. The two players would drop each other at the same time, but it would be NaDa's drop that is the most effective. TOP's drop would be easily fought off as his Marines are roasted by two blue-flame Hellions while NaDa's drop just decimates TOP's mineral lines. The two would attempt drops of each others base again and this time NaDa would almost completely destroy TOP's SCVs as he attacks from two sides. With almost no SCVs left TOP is forced to push into NaDa's base in an attempt to take some sort of advantage. However it is ineffective and NaDa takes game 1.

Game 2 @ Crevasse

Already down a game into the match, TOP decides to cheese NaDa with a double proxy Barracks near the middle left side of the map. TOP spawns at the top right so the Barracks placement is quite effective, and it would almost be perfect as NaDa spawned at the top left. TOP's all-in looked like it could have worked as NaDa opened with an early expansion, but it was perfectly defended. TOP would not be able to bunker in NaDa's base and NaDa would just turtle up at his ramp. Already leading by a base, NaDa was quite safe to just sit on his two bases and macro. TOP attempts to catch up by expanding not once, but twice. This almost gives him the lead in the game, but NaDa does eventually find the secret third base of TOP's. NaDa moves into to contain TOP while also sending troops to TOP's secret third at the bottom right's back-natural. NaDa also drops a massive Marine army into TOP's main back-natural. Losing his economy almost completely TOP decides to walk around NaDa's contain and opts for a base trade. NaDa would defend against TOP's push with complete ease allowing him to just roll into TOP's base to take the second game.

Game 3 @ Tal'Darim Altar

Being up 2-0 in the match, NaDa would attempt a quick Marine rush to end the game in his favour. However, TOP would have none of it. NaDa's rush would arrive at TOP's doorstep to find a Bunker that was being built for TOP. NaDa delays the Bunker several times by sniping SCVs that were attempting to finish it, but eventually the Bunker does finish for TOP and the rush is stopped. The game would quickly turn into a macro game. Both players eventually build a second expansion with NaDa taking his second natural and TOP taking the 3 o'clock expansion that was under his main. TOP's expansion would become a key factor in this game once both players began the base trade. It was quite easy for TOP since establishing a foothold in front of NaDa's expansion meant he had access to bombard both of NaDa's expansions. Because TOP's third was placed on the low ground above his main, NaDa had a much harder time trying to hit TOP's other expansion. This gave TOP the lead as NaDa was starved of resources having both of his expansions destroyed. TOPon the other hand had put a stop to NaDA's push and still had a solid income. The third game would go to TOP.

Game 4 @ Xel'Naga Fortress

The fourth game of the day saw very little action in the beginning of the match. After having both players do Marine rushes in the first game, neither of them attempted any early harass so they went straight into a macro game. However, it wouldn't be too long until both players attempted drops into each others bases. Both drops would fail, but NaDa came out on top as both drops met while returning from their respective missions. NaDa would unload his Marines quicker than TOP allowing his forces to destroy TOP's drop and live to fight another day. After the drops failed it was time to move out into the center of the map. TOP would reach the center first and sieged his tanks in a straight line. This ends up being a huge mistake by TOP as NaDa is free to destroy the tanks and TOP's army with ease. Having the tanks in a straight line meant that NaDA had a huge concave when he rushed in to attack TOP's army. Losing a large number of his tanks meant that TOP was behind and he would never catch up. After reinforcing his army after his initial push, NaDa would take the game and match.

Match 2 IMLosirA versus sCfOu

Game 1 @ Terminus RE

sC opens up with a 3 Barracks wall off in front of his natural and expands. Losira on the other hand ops up with a 14gas/pool into an expansion. His early speedlings would roam the map and do some damage to the debris at sC's second natural, but nothing else really happened. The action would commence when sC opts for a timing push that is quickly swallowed up by Losira's speedlings. After swallowing up the Marine timing push, Losira takes his third and begins teching shortly after. sC losing his Marine timing gave Losira the lead, but it didn't look like sC had ever been behind. sC built up seven additional Barracks, with reactors on five of them, and completely stopped his SCV production for an all-in. sC's initial push would break into Losira's third base with very little trouble. All of his Marine's and Marauders were destroyed from the initial push, but waves and waves of Marines would keeping pumping out non-stop. Losira would hold, but always came very close to breaking. The action would be non-stop for several minutes with only pauses in between battles for both sides to group up and fight again. Eventually sC would break Losira and to add insult to injury sC would even /dance his units in front of Losira's natural.

Game 2 @ Tal'Darim Altar

The action in the second game would start quickly as sC took no time to get to work on Losira after taking the first game. Double Barracks would go down for sC and Losira's hatch-first build suddenly looked like a bad idea. Bunker rushes are usually very easy to defend for S class Zergs, but when that Bunker rush has over half a dozen SCVs along with it, it gets fairly hard. Losira does get a single good surround in with his Drones and Zerglings on sC's Marines, but it was useless as very few Marines were killed and a Bunker finished buliding in front of Losira's natural. Losira would stay in the game a few minutes more hoping to make a come back, but it was futile as sC even expands to his natural to solidify his lead even further.

Game 3 @ Crossfire

Being behind 2-0 to sC, Losira attempts a sneaky Zergling and Baneling strategy. With sC spawning at the top right, Losira sneaks a third Hatchery at the top left expansion and starts amassing a Zergling army in the same area. As sC moved out from his natural and into the center of the map, Losira took this chance to strike. It looked like Losira would do amazing amounts of damage as his Zergling army ran in, but the five Banelings that he brought with him were killed without even hitting a single SCV. The Zerglings went on to attack sC's mineral lines and catch a few SCVs before sC could run his army back to defend. The Zerglings would melt to sC's army once he got back. The attack by Losira actually did very little damage to sC and sC ends up discovering the third hatchery at the top left. After taking out that hatchery Losira was now down a base and slowly falling behind to sC's two bases. Knowing this, sC makes for a push towards the bottom right where Losira would most likely take his third expansion. He makes his way down and is correct in finding creep slowly disappearing as Losira had cancelled his Hatchery. sC then makes a minor mistake in trapping his own units in the back hallway of Losira's base

Had he sieged his tanks quicker, sC's army might have survived Losira's large army of Banelings, but instead they were decimated except for a few Marines saved by Medivacs. After taking out sC's large army of Marines and Tanks, it looked like Losira could make a come back. However, it would take Losira a long time to set up a third expansion as sC kept denying the hatchery at the bottom right. Despite the fact that sC kept losing his army over and over again, sC never loses his lead in supply count. Losira would win almost every battle they engaged in, but it was sC's economy that kept him ahead the entire time. sC does win in the end, but for a long time it looked very close. To further taunt Losira, sC dances his Marines and lands a few MULEs into the final battle.
