The final table of the €5,000 buy-in European Poker Tour San Remo main event is set. The final table should be a battle at the Casino San Remo with EPT-Berlin runner-up Maximilian Heinzelmann near the lead of Brit Rupert Elder.
Others battling for the title and €930,000 first prize include young Canadian female player Xuan Liu who won a €1,000 side event for $64,376 just last year at the same series. She was born in Tianjin, China and now lives in Toronto, Canada. She will be facing former EPT winner Russian Max Lykov who will be aiming to become the first repeat EPT winner along with five relatively unknown Italian players.
There were 987 entrants who created a €4,786,950 prize pool, slightly down from last year. The top 144 players made the money.
World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe Cada went out in 13th for €35,000 while British pro Andrew Teng finished one better in 12th for €40,000. Luigi Pignataro went out in 9th for €50,000.
