The winner of the event will win $2.3 million, while second place will win $1.8 million. They will pay the top 232 places.
The chip leader heading into Day 2 is Pieter de Korver from the Netherlands with 245,300 chips. Owen Crowe and Toby Lewis also got off to a good starts on Day 1A with top 10 chip stacks. Chris Moneymaker, Daniel Alaei and Viktor Blom were top 10 stacks from Day 1B. Notables moving on to Day 2 included Bernard Lee, Phil Ivey, and Joe Cada.
