In today's MSL semi-finals, hite Entus Zerg Shin Dong 'Hydra' Won bested the Tyrant of Zerg Lee 'Jaedong' Jae Dong. This is yet another disappointment for the ace player of Hwaseung Oz after being knocked out of the OSL in the first group stage.
Hydra managed to take an early 2:0 lead with his brilliant Mutalisk play, outmicroing the Tyrant in every aspect. However, Jaedong managed to tie the score on the next two maps with early Zergling aggression sniping Hydra's spire in both sets. In the final set on Triathlon, Jaedong managed to get his Spire faster as opposed to Hydra's fast Hatch build, but Hydra's immaculate Muta timing saved his skin with his fliers spawning in the last possible second. Taking the offensive, Hydra forced yet another Mutalisk/Scourge battle and his micro shined again and eventually forced a GG out from JD.
In the other semi-final Zero met Great and their face-off was no less spectacular. Although Great managed to triumph with a final score of 3:1, the second set that he lost to Zero on Triathlon was probably one of the most epic ZvZs we've seen in a while. Both players unleashed the fury of the swarm, throwing Defilers, Queens, Ultras and Lurkers at each other while slowly infesting the entire map.
