Team SureFire Gaming appeared to have gone for an powerful early game team with strong pushing capabilities and choosing Madman for their late game carry. The question was whether WASP could get enough levels on Wretched Hag and enough farm on Magebane to hold off tSFg's onslaughts.
The game started out with a full scale encounter near the bottom rune on the Legion side, the Legion team was much better positioned and thus leading to a 3-0 start in tSFg's favour with Madman securing a double kill, including the Bloodlust kill. As the laning phase began, both teams opted out to keep their hard carries in the short lane but seeing their Madman was already ahead in experience and farm, tSFg opted to shift their babysitters to the top lane to stop Magebane from getting a good farm.
Despite the shift to top lane from tSFg, Magebane was still getting a great farm and WASP appeared to be firmly winning the tri-lane. Just as WASP had begun to recover from their horrible start, Madman picks off Pharoah & Wretched Hag, finishing an interesting HOTBL at 7 minutes. A great defense on the middle tower by WASP results in a 3-0 trade picking off Defiler and Madman, with Magebane catching up to Madman's farm, completing his Runed Axe at 15 minutes.
tSFg pushed relentlessly whenever Defiler's ultimate was up taking out all of WASP's tier 1 towers, mid and top tier 2 tower by the 25 minute mark. As tSFg looked firmly in the lead, WASP turned to Kongor to get back into the game. tSFg displayed some sloppy teamwork allowing WASP to capitalise on their mistake and take an easy Kongor kill. Despite tSFg's continuous pushing, penOr on Magebane did a fantastic job in pushing himself, taking down a tower whenever tSFg did.
As the Legion team looked to push down the middle base tower, a great defensive stance was set up by WASP, taking out Defiler before her ult caused any damage but a great counter-initiation from tSFg resulted in a 4-4 trade and forcing the token to be used. However, more sloppy play from tSFg coming up the mid-lane one at a time gave WASP an easy 4-0 extra boost. The game looked bleak for tSFg as the game was transitioning into the late game and Magebane was at an overwhelming 500 GPM.
tSFg second effort for a push into the hellbourne base was swiftly countered with great initiation onto Defiler and a just finished sheepstick onto Madman, resulting in a 4-0 trade. At the 40 minute mark, WASP takes a 2nd Kongor kill and with another great initiation onto Defiler, takes out all the Legion players including a fountain dive on Hellbringer, showcasing the level of domination. GGs are called and WASP takes a 1-0 lead.

After taking game 1, WASP surprised everyone with a Legionnaire pick up and tSFg opting to go for two ranged carries in Flint Beastwood and Forsaken Archer. Anticipation was in the air to see whether a tri-lane with Legionnaire was effective or not.
Similar to game 1, game 2 started out with another full scale clash near the bottom rune, this time on the Hellbourne side. Once again tSFg was better positioned and started the game off brilliantly 2-0.
sLiCKz, said by the Australian HoN community to be the best Soulstealer in Australasia firmly showcased his skills, winning the mid-lane early game with ease. The Legionnaire tri-lane was also paying off as Forsaken Archer had resulted to jungling as she could not get any farm at all. As a result, the Hellbourne team ditched the bottom lane giving Legionnaire free farm and together with triple stacks in the jungle, Legionnaire had his portal key at the 13 minute mark.
Blinking in right on top of Forsaken Archer at the top lane, Legionnaire dominated her with ease but portals were coming in from both sides and WASP emerged victorious, going 4-0 and taking the top tower. As things looked bad for tSFg, WASP overextended going deep behind tier 2 towers in Hellbourne territory for kills on supports, allowing Flint Beastwood and Forsaken Archer to clean up afterwards in a 3-2 trade in tSFg's favour. Given that they had Pharoah, tSFg went for a ninja Kongor at the 19 minute mark to try and stay in the game.
WASP gave tSFg no breathing space to farm and retaliated by jumping right on top of Flint Beastwood to use up token and followed it up with great initiation onto the Hellbourne team, resulting in an easy genocide as the Hellbourne team was just too fragile. Both Forsaken Archer and Flint Beastwood were struggling to get over the 200 GPM mark whereas sLiCKz on Soulstealer was at a sky high 550 GPM and penOr on Legionnaire at an impressive 350 GPM.
By the 24 minute mark, the Legion team had pushed down all of Hellbourne's outside towers and was banging on tSFg's front door. An initiation from Legionnaire followed with Soulstealer's ult and a double damage on him ended in an easy 4-0 followed by the bottom racks going down. 3 minutes later, the Legion team dived deep into the Hellbourne base, killing 4 players with ease as sLiCKz's Soulstealer was just too powerful with an insane 600 GPM. GGs are called and tSFg concedes, bringing us our champions - WASP!
