That's right folks. SlayerS_Boxer (or ManofOneway as he will be known henceforth) will enter the GSL Ro64 to try to take the champion's crown out of Cool's head. This will be extremely tough, though, as many ace players including NaDa will also try to do the same.

I must admit I am both shocked and pleasantly surprised by the qualification results. Sure, the statistics may look quite a lot like first season's but come on, look at the players. We have players like NaDa, Boxer, Cool and vice-champion HopeTorture all to enter the pit very soon. Also, due to the extremely high amount of participants, the qualifiers were stretched to a period of four days instead of two.

Day 1 brings us a lot of amazing players, right from the start. The day was successful for awesome gamers such as ZanDarke, AcePrime, Loner and one of the few foreigners, the infamous Idra.

Day 2 was the first to bring strong excitement into fanboys' hearts. On top progamers such as Hyperdub (a.k.a. The-guy-that-cheesed-TLO) and SanZenith, we have... BOXER. Yes, the one and only emperor has changed his nickname to ManofOneway and is alive and still kicking! We will soon see if he still has got the mojo.

Day 3 was probably the most starstruck qualification day so far. We've got PoltPrime, Clide, oGsInca, one of the best Zerg in the world CheckPrime, the reigning champion Fruit Dealer and the other foreigner, the crowd-favourite TLO. Also, I am quite curious to find out if Suzy is indeed LilSuzy, the lass that was co-casting the GomTV classic.

Day 4 was heavy on Terran heavy hitters. oGsEnsnare, MakaPrime and silver medalist HopeTorture have made it through together with no one else than NaDa, the legendary BroodWar Terran. It really becomes one hell of a tournament...

Much to everyone's surprise, one of the GSL #1 favourites Tester did not manage to qualify for the Ro64 so we won't be seeing his out-of-this-world forcefields any time soon. JulyZerg, who soon announced his transition to SC2 also couldn't make it and we won't have the pleasure to witness two Golden Mouse winners delivering pwnage here and there. Also, there are only two non-Koreans in the tournament in the face of Idra and TLO and I am really curious how far will they get in this highly competitive environment (bear in mind that TLO manhandled both NaDa and Boxer recently).

At the end I have one final statistic to give to you because I know how much we all love bitching about race distribution around tournaments. In the Ro64 we have 29 Terrans, 20 Protoss and 15 Zergs. Yes, I know it is much similar to last tournament's. However, I think that with players of such calibre there is little ground for whining.
