Sing Sik "ReMinD" Kim wins the World Cyber Games after a nail biting final against Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen.
After taking the lead in the first game on Ancient Isle, ReMinD was only one game from winning the World Cyber Games in his first attempt.
But Grubby came back in the second game on Echo Isles and evened out the score in a tremendous game many will remember for many years to come.
The final game on Turtle Rock was a shorter and less awing story. ReMinD took the initiative early on and held it throughout the game.
The Night Elf Korean player ran out on stage to wave the Korean flag in front of tons of fans and media.
But it was close that ReMinD did not even advance to the playoffs.
Group C ended with ThomasG, ReMinD and TH000 all on the same score. And the tiebreaker had to be played two times, as the first tiebreaker group had the players beat each other. ReMinD once again lost to ThomasG, while defeating TH000 and TH000 defeating ThomasG.
The second tiebreaker saw ReMinD eliminate ThomasG but losing to TH000. But with TH000 defeating ThomasG, the tie was broken thus seeing TH000 and ReMinD advance to the playoffs.
The bronze match between June "Lyn" Park and Nikita "nicker" Pomadov ended in another victory for Korea.
