Hello Antonino, you joined us together with your team not long ago. Please introduce yourself to our community.
“Hey, my name is Antonino 'wooti' Pollina. I am 20 and am currently in an apprenticeship for System Administration. I recently joined KD Gaming.”
What are the expectations of the team for currently ongoing tournaments?
“I think anything is possible at the moment because of our good form. Hence, I believe that we will go far in the World Cup and other tournaments.”
In the Steelseries World Cup, it came down to an epic clash between you and our former team, how do you feel about your easy win?
“Of course, it is a huge success to win 2:0 against teams such as OK, since they are one of the best teams around right now. So we are happy about beating them and feel prepared for MSI.”
To what extent does coming from DotA give players an edge in HoN, why are DotA vets usually placed higher on the ladder?
“DotA players often have more experience and therefore can grab opportunities in important fights much better. Furthermore, they are already familiar with the gameplay and thus have an edge. Overall, they generally have some advantages, but on a professional level should not be decisive.”
In your opinion, is HoN the better game? Could you try to explain the differences between both games to someone not familiar with these games?
“HoN is based off DotA, and has many improved features. I myself have played DotA for 3 and a half years and am glad that I chose HoN, as DotA is being played at a different level at the moment.”
How do you think HoN will develop in the coming years?
“One cannot be certain but I hope that it does not vanish and continues to grow.”
As a HoN player, what do you think about the other DotA based game, League of Legends. It has been honored as Online Game of the Year by the Golden Joystick Awards, it that something understandable to you?
“I do not think much of LoL and I cannot understand why it won such a renowned award. I've played LoL with some mates for approximately 20 games or so. It's fun in small doses but I would never switch.”
Thanks a lot for the interview and we hope to hear more about your team. Last words are yours!
“Shoutouts to Tamiel, Nerfme, and the guys from OK. Also thank you KD for your support.”
